How To See With Your Spiritual Eyes

You were created to speak things into existence because you take after the speaking nature of God, who, through words, created the world. From Genesis 1:3-25, the bible records God spoke things into existence, and He saw their manifestation, and in verse 26, God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” When you read John 4:24, you will note that God is a Spirit, meaning that since we are created in His image and nature, a human being is first and foremost a spirit.

Therefore, if you are a spirit, God made you to live and see from the spiritual realm and not depend on your five senses. Seeing in the spirit means not paying attention to what you perceive with your eyes, ears, touch, taste, smell, or feelings. According to 2 Corinthians 4:18, the Bible states, “we do not look at the things seen but at the things that are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are not seen are eternal.” This scripture clearly states that sensory perceptions are temporal, meaning they are passing by and not here for long.

In the bible, only Jesus was able to open the eyes of the blind; no other eye-opening miracle was ever recorded with anyone else apart from Him. So, what does this mean?

Only Jesus, the Word, can help you see with your spiritual eyes. Your association with God through the Holy Spirit is the only way you can perceive things of the spirit. Jesus confirmed this when He talked about the Helper who would show you things to come. This means that the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of your understanding to events even before you experience them in the physical.

The Holy Spirit will help you see certain truths that make you gain leverage over others in the world. When you go through life leaning on the Holy Spirit, you will always be protected from physical, economic, emotional, and mental dangers. The word of God and praying in tongues is the means through which we enhance our relationship with the Holy Spirit and our capacity to hear from Him.

Beloved, a wordless and prayerless life is equal to a blind life. If you are blind, you are living by trial and error, making many costly mistakes that could have been avoided if only you had taken the time to pray in the spirit. The blind spots of your life can only be illuminated by Jesus, who is the word personified.
